Team trivia, played live

TeamPlay's Trivia is a multiple-choice quiz for teams. The host shares one screen, everyone joins on their own phone or laptop, and each team votes on its answer. The app checks every answer and keeps the score, so the host reads, reveals and moves on. There are two ways to play: Head to Head, where every team answers each question at once, and Pass and Play, where teams take turns while the room watches.

How a round works

Head to Head

  1. A question hits every screen. Everyone sees the same question and four answers at the same moment, with a 15-second clock.
  2. Your team votes. Everyone on a team taps their own answer and can change it. The answer with the most votes becomes the team's - the moment more than half the team agrees, it's locked. A tie goes to your captain.
  3. Reveal and score. The host reveals the answer; every team that got it right scores. Standings update live.

Pass and Play

  1. One team on the floor. Teams take turns - each turn brings a fresh question for the team on the floor, with a 30-second clock.
  2. The team votes. Everyone on the team taps an answer - most votes wins, and a tie goes to the captain. The other teams watch.
  3. Reveal and score. The host reveals the answer: 10 for a right one. Then the floor passes to the next team.

Where do the questions come from?

TeamPlay ships with a bank of general-knowledge questions sorted by difficulty: pick easy, medium or hard, or a mixed game that climbs from easy to hard. You can also pick questions by hand or write your own quiz.

Can I write my own trivia questions?

Yes. Custom games let you write multiple-choice or true/false questions, add images, and play them like any other game. The Free plan includes one custom game; Pro and Business are unlimited.

Which format should I pick?

Head to Head keeps every team busy on every question and suits bigger groups. Pass and Play gives each team its moment in front of the room, which suits a smaller group that enjoys a bit of theatre.
