Superfan: category trivia for teams
Superfan is trivia where each team plays to its strengths. Every team's captain picks a category - sitcoms, movies, TV series, sport or music - and narrows it to the sub-categories the team knows best. In Pass and Play, teams take the floor one at a time; in Head to Head, every team races through its own category's questions at once.

How a round works
Pass and Play
- Captains pick a category. Sitcoms, Movies, TV Series, Sports or Music - each team's captain locks in a category and at least three sub-categories.
- One team at a time votes. The team on the floor gets a question from its own category. Everyone on it taps an answer - most votes wins - before its 45 seconds run out.
- Reveal, then score. The host reveals the team's answer to the room. Ten points if it's right, then the next team takes the floor.
Head to Head
- Captains pick a category. Sitcoms, Movies, TV Series, Sports or Music - each team's captain locks in a category and at least three sub-categories.
- Race your own questions. The clock starts for everyone once the last team has picked. Every team races its own category's questions - teammates vote on each answer, most votes wins.
- Every right answer scores. Ten points a question. Most right answers when the clock runs out wins.
Best for
- Rooms with specialists who never get a moment in general trivia

Questions
What categories are there?
Sitcoms, movies, TV series, sport and music, each split into sub-categories so a team can pick exactly what it knows.
Is it fair if teams pick different categories?
Every question is worth the same, and every team picked the subject it is strongest in, so it evens out. Teams vote on each answer, so one superfan can't carry a team alone.
